<The Reunion Planning Committee;

The Class of 77 30th Year Reunion did take place as planned on Saturday September 30th 2006 at the Holiday Inn in Hasbrouck Heights New Jersey.

A large block of Suites and rooms were reserved for our use. After the banquet room closed we took over the bar. After the bar closed we took over the suites.

It got to the point we where we were shaking and quaking the whole 3rd floor until 6AM.

On the next day, on Sunday there was a party at the home of Ann Chiaviello. A good time was had by those who could make it there, but a lot of us were still trying to recover from Saturday night and could not move out of bed until late afternoon, while others had planes to catch, or long distance drives ahead of them.

This was a weekend we will always treasure and one that none of us will ever forget. From now and forever you will be able to re-live those moments here through the assets at this web site. We also want all Class of 77 Classmates to please always remember that no matter where or how far you go in life on this planet, you will always be able to reconnect with your friends here though this place in cyber space.

(While we plan the next big event for the Class of 77)

Special thanks also go out to Steve Addeo our DJ for the night, and Billy Neumann our professional photographer. Both of these men are RHS Alumni and we not only thank them for their services, but also because they put their very best efforts into into making sure everything went perfect on their end, and believe us they did!

The Who's Who caption on the 20 Year Reunion Photo has been updated

I decided to wade through the 167 or so E Mails we have shared in the last 3 days to find any direct communications to me and I found 3 relating to the who's who picture and the names in the caption.
I made all the changes and uploaded them. The question still stands. Who was number 65?

I found my old bicycle, but I don't think it's big enough to keep up with you guys on a bike trek, if you plan to have one on the 31st.

Rutherford High School Class of 77

There were 108 E Mails between 8 of us today. Tom Colbath said it spanned 300 printed pages. This is getting to be way too much! Please use the blog for one to many communoications, and reserve E Mail for 1 to 1 communications. If any of you are having problems using the blog please let me know. I put you all in as members by the current E Mail address you use. My goal is to try and make it easier and easier to use.

Once you get to the Class of 77 Blog Page click on the button on the top that says "Blog This" a text box opens up. Put inside of it what you want to say to the group. You can then preview, edit, and Post it to the Blog. Thank You.

Thank you Anne! I am truly flattered by your kind words.

Actually one of the reasons I created the blog was because I missed your personal E Mail replies to me about my transportation issues in the voluminous Class of 77 E Mail stream As a result of that I could not respond to you in a timely manner. Because nobody was changing the message titles and everyone just kept on going Re, Re, Re, Re, without shortening up the text bodies, it got to the point I could not tell whom the E Mail was from, what it was about, and whom it was meant for. So I thought the blog would be a great way to say it one time and reach everyone. Also if any other RHS Alumni wanted to join us they could jump on in for no fee (unlike classmates) and back pedal through all the messages to get a feel for what we are all about and what our main threads are, so they too could form a basis for an entry point for themselves into the conversation and participate in all the banter if they wished to do so. As they say, the more the merrier!

I even used this message as a sample of to show how easy it is for anyone to add a photo or drawing to their postings, and I encourage all participants to do so because it adds a human touch to the messages and makes these pages a warmer and more friendly place to hang out on the web.

Hello All: Here is how this blog is set up.

Last night (03/15/05) I could not sleep. I woke up at 3AM and I started to go through this gigantic pile of classmates E mails. Thats when I got this idea to work on making an RHS Blog, by 5AM I had the basic structure up and running. (I have never done this before) My new Mantra in Web Design is: (Make it easy to use) next (do not force people to install things or add things to there computers). Once I got the blog structure up, the next step was to figure out how to set up an auto notification scheme. I designed the blog so that is easy to join, and any member can post a comment anytime they felt like from any computer they were at. Next I did not want for the blog to be something people have to keep checking to see if something has been added on by another member. I wanted the blog iteslf to detect something has been added and then send out a notice to all group members to alert them that someone has added something.

Unfortunately the easiest way to do this would have been to have everyone install a new piece of software called an RSS reader, which is not a good thing because their are so many different ones out there and most them force you to go to yet another web page. The blog has a feature to E Mail one and only one entity on auto when something has been added on. So I created and E Mail address in Google Groups. Then I put all of you into that group. Anytime the blog changes it wil E Mail Google Groups and then Google Groups will Auto Email each one of you with a copy of part of or maybe all of what has been posted on the blog. You should throw this E Mail away because the comment is stored on the Blog. You can then respond to the entire group by posting your own comment.

Could you imagine if the group grew to 65 people and we all communicating through E Mail how big the E Mail volume would be? We would not be having fun no more. I am just trying to use technology to keep things fun, free, light, and easy to use. You can even upoload pictures with your comments to the blog if you want to. In the meantime I will keep on trying to improve the look and feel of the pages.

Hello and Welcome to RHS Class of 77 Blog

Hello My Fellow Classmates from Rutherford High School Class of 77:

There is no doubt we have a fun group, and that what have is not only enjoyable but precious too. I have endeavored to find a way to make our communications more managable as opposed to each us having to try and manage these huge personal E Mail Archives with an overwhelming amount of duplicity. Instead we can all say what we want to say to the group right here on this message board.
